MANILA, Philippines — Calvin Abueva has been included in Phoenix’s official lineup for the PBA season resumption in Clark, Pampanga.

Abueva is listed as “eligible” to play but only after he meets the remaining requirements for the reinstatement of his professional license, which was revoked by the Games and Amusements Board (GAB) following his indefinite suspension from the PBA last year.

On Monday, GAB chairman Baham Mitra shared a screenshot of Abueva attending a seminar on “Code of Conduct of a Professional Player and Gender sensitivity issues” on his Twitter.

The seminar is among the final requirements for Abueva’s reinstatement along with a mandatory drug test.

“Calvin Abueva was remorseful in what he did and was sincere enough to accept his wrongdoings and asked for an apology for his actions with a promise not to repeat the same mistakes and set a good example to the audience especially the young fans,” Mitra posted on Twitter.

The PBA Philippine Cup resumes on Sunday at Angeles University Foundation gym.

Phoenix, which named former deputy Topex Robinson as its interim head coach to replace Louie Alas last month, makes its bubble debut on Monday against Meralco.
