CLARK FREEPORT — LA Tenorio, Barangay Ginebra’s court general, entered the Philippine Basketball Association’s competition bubble here on Wednesday, rejoining the Gin Kings just in time before the season reboot this Sunday.
“He’s currently in room quarantine,” team manager Rayboy Rodriguez told the Inquirer.
“He arrived 11 a.m. this morning,” Tim Cone said in a separate message.
Tenorio, like most of the players who arrived at Quest Hotel a week ago, is undergoing 48-hour isolation unless negative results are released earlier.
Regarded as the league’s Ironman for not missing a single game since his drafting, Tenorio’s impeccable streak might meet its end this Sunday when the crowd darlings take on NLEX in the first playdate of the compressed Philippine Cup at Angeles University Foundation.
Tenorio is coming off a recent appendectomy and the birth of his child, which also caused a delay in his arrival in Clark.
“We’re not sure yet,” Cone said of Tenorio’s availability for Sunday’s match.
“It will be a game-time decision, I would guess.”
