250 fans allowed to attend ONE Singapore card
MANILA, Philippines—ONE Championship was granted a chance to have a live audience, albeit in a limited capacity, for the Inside the Matrix card on October 30 in Singapore.
There will be 250 “Superfan” tickets available to the public with Singapore already in its second phase of reopening amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Team Lakay’s Eduard Folayang is part of the fight card that will also feature four title bouts.
The Team Lakay legend and former two-time lightweight world champion is set to face Australia’s Antonio Caruso.
Since the pandemic hit, ONE Championship has hosted two fight cards at Singapore Indoor Stadium, which will once again host the promotion’s event, and closed-door shows in China and Thailand from June to September.
“The presence of a live audience for ONE: Inside the Matrix further cements ONE’s partnership with Singapore to pilot the return of international sporting productions,” wrote the promotion in a statement.
“In line with Singapore’s approach to resuming activities in a calibrated and safe manner in Phase Two, the event will implement all necessary measures to ensure the safety of all attendees, including piloting the use of antigen rapid tests prior to the event.
The Singapore government will also implement pre-event COVID-19 testing at selected events.
“Superfan” ticket packages, which can be bought at Ticketmaster.sg, are worth $148 SGD and will include a safe seating plan as well as ONE Championship merchandise amounting to $60 SGD.
