UAAP finds new broadcast partner
MANILA, Philippines—The UAAP has inked a five-year deal with Cignal TV for its exclusive broadcast rights starting Season 83, the league announced Friday.
This would be the first time the UAAP will be broadcasted live on One Sports channel and across its digital and multimedia platforms.
Article continues after this advertisement“With its affiliate network, TV5, their combined experience in sports production provides the UAAP with a strong foundation in its efforts to promote collegiate sports in the country,” said the league in a statement.

“Despite the current challenges, the league is looking forward to the partnership as a new chapter that can take the UAAP to even greater heights.”
Article continues after this advertisementThe UAAP’s deal with ABS-CBN came to an end this year and the league had to find another broadcast partner to continue its airing across Philippine airwaves.
ABS-CBN was the UAAP’s broadcast partner since 1998 and the league’s games have been shown on the network’s youth-oriented channel Studio 23 that ultimately became Sports + Action.
