Mark Striegl undergoes surgery for orbital bone fracture

MANILA, Philippines — Mark Striegl went under the knife to repair an orbital bone fracture he suffered during his last bout last Oct. 18 in UFC Fight Night at Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.

“Got my orbital bone fractured in my last fight which required surgery here in Baguio,” Striegl wrote on his Instagram Tuesday.

“Thank you, Dr. Carlo Pagalilauan and the @ufc for taking care of me! ❤️🙏 Looking forward to setting off lots of metal scanners at airports in the future.”

The 32-year-old Striegl had a quick end to his UFC debut after getting knocked out by Said Nurmagomedov just 51 seconds into their bantamweight bout.

Striegl dropped to 18-3 and saw his four-fight streak come to an end.
