MANILA, Philippines—Former champion Geje Eustaquio clinched  his second straight win, coming away with a unanimous decision victory over South Korea’s Song Min Jong in ONE: Inside the Matrix III Friday at Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Putting the old mantra of “hit and not get hit” to good use, Eustaquio established distance and used his precision striking to pepper Song with strikes throughout the first two rounds.

Song tried to establish his offense in the third round but Eustaquio used his grappling to turn the situation into his favor and earn the nod of the three judges.

“It did not go into plan, we wanted a submission but things went wrong the last five days so we had to change plans,” said Eustaquio, who managed to put Song in a knee lock and a guillotine in the final round.

Eustaquio (14-8), has now won three of his last four fights and five of his last seven in his bid to get to the top five of the flyweight division of ONE Championship.

Song (11-8) had his four-fight winning streak get snapped.
