ACE driver Carlos Anton kept his dominance of the North Series Hillclimb Championship by winning a second race recently in La Union.
Competing against 40 of the best Hillclimb Racers in the country, Anton of Castrol-Yokohama clocked one-minute and 28.77 seconds for the 1.75-kilometer stage up Backsil Ridge.
“The Mark Young prepared CRX ran perfect up the mountain today,” said Anton, who won by over four seconds over Jem Quirimit.
“We won by four seconds on such a short stage, that’s over two seconds per kilometer faster.” he added.
Anton recently re-signed with Castrol and Yokohama for another racing season of hillclimb and time attack events.
Special Stage-Castrol-Hornitex driver Alfie Concepcion topped the Group 4 class, winning over Umesh Raimalani.
Rocky Fianza followed up a victory in the Manila South series by topping Group 2 by almost two seconds over Mark Llaguna.
