MANILA, Philippines—TNT may have managed to take Game 3 of the PBA Philippine Cup Finals in a dominating fashion, but the Tropang Giga still need all the help they can get.
Head coach Bong Ravena is hoping that he can have star forward Bobby Ray Parks Jr. back with the team on Sunday for the pivotal Game 4.
Parks aggravated a left calf strain that forced him to miss Games 2 and 3. Fortunately the Tropang Giga were able to rally and get that third match, 88-67.
“He’s still under observation, and hopefully he can play this [Sunday],” said Ravena Friday as his team trimmed the series deficit to 2-1.
Without Parks, the team’s leading scorer, the Tropang Giga banked on the balanced scoring of Simon Enciso, Poy Erram, Troy Rosario, Jayson Castro, and RR Pogoy with all five of them pitching in double digits.
Parks is averaging 22.4 points on a highly-efficient 49.2 percent from the field and 45.8% from three while also putting up 7.8 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.5 steals a game.
