The Denver Nuggets have re-signed guard Monte Morris to a three-year, $27 million contract extension, according to a report from ESPN on Monday night.
The signing marks the latest milestone in an impressive young career for Morris, who entered the league as the Nuggets’ second-round pick (No. 51 overall) out of Iowa State in 2017. He has gone on to average 9.6 points, 2.1 rebounds and 3.5 assists during his first three seasons.
Morris already has appeared in 33 playoff games with four starts. He is averaging 7.5 points, 1.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists in the postseason.
The 25-year-old Morris could have become an unrestricted free agent next summer.
