MANILA, Philippines — Kevin Belingon’s loss to former UFC veteran John Lineker last month led to a major shakeup in the latest bantamweight ONE rankings.
Belingon came into his clash with Lineker as the top contender to challenge his longtime rival and reigning bantamweight king Bibiano Fernandes.
But the situation has changed since as Lineker climbed three spots and unseated Belingon as the No. 1 challenger to Fernandes’ throne.
Lineker (33-9) shook things up after stopping the Team Lakay star and ex-world champion in the second round of their showdown last month in Singapore.
Belingon (20-8), losers of three straight fights, slipped to No. 3.
Japan’s Shoko Sato remained in the second spot while Russia’s Yusup Saadulaev and Japan’s Shuya Kamikubo slid to No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.
