MANILA, Philippines — Dwight Ramos’ play in the second window of the Fiba Asia Cup 2021 Qualifiers certainly did not go unnoticed.

After his emergence as one of the top performers for the young Philippine team inside the Bahrain bubble, Ramos was among the five players included in Fiba’s list of biggest leapers in the qualifying tournament.

The 22-year-old guard had a dramatic rise in production from the time he debuted for Gilas Pilipinas last February.

Ramos, the Ateneo recruit, scored just five points and had five rebounds in a 100-70 win over Indonesia in the first window.

But tasked with a bigger role in the pair of games against Thailand recently, Ramos stepped up and averaged 16.5 points and 6.0 rebounds.

The 6-foot-4 Ramos had his best game yet for the Philippines in the first meeting with the Thais when he delivered an offensive game, finishing with 20 points on 7-of-7 shooting from the field.
