James De Los Santos wins 30th eKata gold medal
MANILA, Philippines—James De Los Santos completed the eChampions Trophy World Series hat trick and emerged with his 30th gold medal in eKATA competitions Friday.
The world’s no.1 eKATA player already won the first two legs of the eChampions Trophy World Series and his 24.6-24.1 victory over Switzerland’s Matias Moreno Domont sealed him the competition’s Grand Winner title.
“For God and country,” posted De Los Santos.
The 30-year-old karateka has amassed 13,745.00 total points so far, completely distancing himself from former no.1 Eduardo Garcia of Portugal who has 8,890.00 points.
“Setting the gap even further in the eKATA World rankings. There’s no stopping!” posted De Los Santos.
He won the first leg of the eChampions Trophy World Series in September when he beat Domont and then the second in November against South Africa’s Silvia Cerone-Biagoni for his sixth and 19th gold medals, respectively.
