Ginebra awaits Brownlee ‘with open arms’ as import joins UAE league
MANILA, Philippines — Head coach Tim Cone made sure a slot on Ginebra’s roster will always be available for Justin Brownlee.
Brownlee has reportedly taken his talents to the United Arab Emirates where he will play for basketball club Al Sharjah in the UAE National Basketball League.
“Stay healthy, Justin. We’re waiting for you with open arms!!” Cone tweeted on Saturday.

The 23-year-old Brownlee has been Ginebra’s resident import since 2016.
He’s led the Gin Kings to four PBA titles, including the 2019 Governors’ Cup back in January.
Playing in the Middle East is nothing new for Brownlee, who suited up for Al Riyadi in the Lebanese Basketball League last year.
