MANILA, Philippines — Former Alab Pilipinas standouts, bannered by Jason Brickman, lead a promising cast of applicants for the upcoming PBA Draft.
Brickman, the crack Fil-American playmaker, is the most decorated among the early entrants in the draft set on March 14.
The 29-year-old Brickman finished his collegiate career at LIU Brooklyn as one of only four players in the US NCAA Division 1 to record 1,000 assists.
He averaged 8.9 points on 45 percent shooting, 9.1 assists, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.1 steals this past ABL season.
Aside from Brickman, fellow Fil-Americans Jeremiah Gray and Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser have also applied for the draft.
The 6-foot-6 Gray, a product of Dominican University of California, averaged 8.4 points, 3.9 boards, 2.1 assists, and 1.1 blocks in his lone season with Alab.
Ganuelas-Rosser, brother of San Miguel Beer’s Matt, played for UC Riverside. The 6-foot-7 forward normed 4.9 points and 2.5 rebounds in his second season for Alab.
Meanwhile, Andre Paras, son of two-time PBA MVP Benjie, has also entered the draft. He had stints with AMA Online Education in the PBA D-League.
The league has set a Jan. 27 deadline for all draft applicants.
