Elite tangle with Gems; Big Chill vs Jr Powerade

BLACKWATER Sports tries to solidify its hold of the No. 2 position when it clashes with Cebuana Lhuillier in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup at the San Juan Gym.

Sporting a 4-1 record, the Elite can boost their chances of claiming one of the two automatic semifinal spots with a victory in the 4 p.m. clash with the Gems.

Big Chill aims to return to its winning ways when it tangles with Junior Powerade at 2 p.m.

The Superchargers saw their three-game run snapped by the Elite last week, but coach Robert Sison believes his team remains a strong contender for an automatic Final Four slot.

“It’s very important for us to get back on the winning track because records shows that the overall standing is very close,” said Sison. “We will treat each game that we will play a must-win.”

Big Chill is currently tied for third to fifth spots with Cebuana Lhuillier and idle RnW Pacific Pipes.

The Tigers absorbed a 69-81 loss to Erase Plantcenta last Tuesday.
