MANILA, Philippines—Sudan Daniel, a former NCAA MVP, passed away Saturday. He was 33.
Daniel reportedly died after an asthma attack.
The 6-foot-7 Daniel led San Beda’s perfect run in the NCAA Season 86 where he was named Season and Finals MVP.
“Tomorrow is never promised. A San Beda legend forever,” Rome dela Rosa, Daniel’s former college teammate, wrote on Instagram.
“I just want to say thank you for always believing in me even when I didn’t believe in myself. We are going to miss you! I love you big bro!” dela Rosa, who is now with the Magnolia Hotshots in the PBA, said in a separate post.
