Chooks to Go 3×3 pays tribute to Sudan Daniel
MANILA, Philippines—Sudan Daniel had become a big part of Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3×3 and the league is dedicating a special award for those who embodied the jovial host.
League owner Ronald Mascariñas said that the league will be honoring Daniel through the “SUperman move of the game” that will be given to every dunk made in the 3×3 league.

“Su had swag. We saw it two years ago and we loved it. He had been the voice of Chooks-to-Go 3×3 since. More than his swag, however, we share Su’s belief in the grind, in believing in yourself, in giving more than a hundred percent effort, and in always exceeding expectations.”
As the voice of the 3×3 league, Daniel was the one who brought the hype during games, a vocal transition from his physical dominance in the NCAA in 2010 when he won the MVP, Finals MVP, and Defensive Player of the Year.

“‘Superman was an alien, and a normal human being, and that’s what makes him not ordinary’ he once said,” quipped Mascariñas. “Su believed that to be not ordinary like Superman requires 150 percent effort, always exceeding expectations, and believing in yourself.”
“Most of all, he said, ‘you gotta have swag.’ People might not like it at first but if you keep at it, they will learn to like it, later. He believed.”
Daniel died of an asthma attack on Saturday. He was 33.
