Kevin Love will rest his strained calf for at least three weeks before the Cleveland Cavaliers evaluate his recovery.
The team said Tuesday that the 32-year-old power forward will not return until he is back to full strength.
Love strained his right calf in Sunday’s win against the Philadelphia 76ers, but the injury dates back to the start of training camp.
The five-time All-Star missed 69 games over the two previous seasons due to injury and maintenance.
Love has averaged 18.2 points and 11.1 rebounds per game over his 13-year NBA career. He is in his seventh season in Cleveland, where he helped LeBron James and Kyrie Irving win the 2016 NBA championship.
