MANILA, Philippines—Jeanette Panaga made sure that the arrival of 2021 would be a memorable one as she popped an all-important question to girlfriend Michelle Morente as fireworks roared to celebrate the New Year.
With a ring in hand and one knee on the floor, Panaga popped the question to partner Morente and the latter gave a resounding “yes!” as response.
Both volleyball players shared their life developments on their respective Instagram accounts.

Morente, 25, then wrote “2020 plot twist” on her account.
Panaga plays as a middle blocker for Pero Gazz in the Premier Volleyball League while Morente is with F2 Logistics in the Philippine Superliga.
Both are also accomplished collegiate athletes with Panaga winning an NCAA title with College of St. Benilde while Morente is a two-time champion with Ateneo before graduating from De La Salle.
