The NBA fined Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson $25,000 on Friday for making contact with a game official during Thursday’s 106-95 home loss to the Phoenix Suns.

Clarkson gave a light, two-handed shove to an official as tried to track down a loose ball in the second quarter. He was issued a technical foul on the play.

Clarkson is averaging 16.5 points and 22.6 minutes this season, his seventh in the NBA. Clarkson is starting his first full season in Utah after he was acquired from the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2019-20. Clarkson has averaged 14.8 points as a pro, after being drafted in the second round by the Washington Wizards in 2014.

Clarkson played three-plus seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers (2014-18) before heading to Cleveland (2017-19) and Utah.
