PBA: Ginebra exec Chua set to meet with Slaughter
MANILA, Philippines — Alfrancis Chua, team governor of Barangay Ginebra, plans to sit down with Greg Slaughter this month to discuss the veteran center’s future with the Gin Kings.
The expected meeting between Chua and Slaughter comes just days after the four-time PBA champion issued an apology to the Ginebra management for his sudden departure from the team last February.

“As I said, he’s not a kid, he’s already old and he has a reason why he did that. We just have to respect him because that’s his choice and right now he’s asking for forgiveness.”
In a social media post, Slaughter apologized to San Miguel Corporation president Ramon S. Ang and Chua for “any misunderstanding or bad feelings” following his decision to take a sabbatical shortly after the Gin Kings won the 2019 Governors’ Cup title.
