San Sebastian seeks the early lead, even as multititled University of Santo Tomas makes its much-awaited return in the Shakey’s V-League ninth season today at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.

The Lady Stags clash against the Adamson Lady Falcons in the last game of a triple-header at 6 p.m. after the Tigresses test the Letran Lady Knights. Perpetual Help and National U tangle in their first match of the tournament.

San Sebastian will be looking to carry the momentum of its victory over Letran last Tuesday against the Lady Falcons, whose campaign will be led by former league MVP Nene Bautista and Angela Benting.

The Tigresses, who own a record six V-League titles, will be making their first appearance in two years.

Familiarity will not be a problem as reinforcement Mary Jean Balse, a former MVP, has played with the core of the UST team for quite some time now. UST has also tapped Thai Kunbang Pornpimol as its other reinforcement, pitting her against compatriot Patcharee Samuang of Letran. Cedelf P. Tupas
