NBA vet Jarret Jack joins Ignite in G League

MANILA, Philippines—NBA veteran Jarrett Jack is set to join G League Ignite for the coming 2021 NBA G League season, the team has announced.

Jack joins big man Amir Johnson as two seasoned NBA veterans that already includes young stars Jalen Green, Jonathan Kuminga, and Daishen Nix. They will play in the G League bubble in February at Walt Disney near Orlando.

Filipino center Kai Sotto is also part of Ignite.

A 14-year NBA veteran, Jack played for the Portland Trail Blazers, Indiana Pacers, Toronto Raptors, New Orleans Hornets and Pelicans, Golden State Warriors, Cleveland Cavaliers, Brooklyn Nets, and New York Knicks from 2005 to 2018.

The 6-foot-3 point guard had career averages of 10.8 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 4.6 assists.

Jack has since played in the G League with the Sioux Falls Skyforce wherein he averaged 15.6 points and 5.1 assists.

Donta Hall is also set to suit up for Ignite.

A two-way terror in the developmental league, Hall was named into the 2020 NBA G League All-Rookie, All-NBA G League Second, and All-Defensive teams after averaging 15.4 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks in 38 games with Grand Rapids.

Hall, who played college ball for University of Alabama, also had a couple of stints in the NBA in 2020.

His first was when he signed a 10-day contract with the Detroit Pistons where he played for four games and his second was with the Brooklyn Nets.

Hall played six games with the Nets wherein he averaged 6.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks.
