Ex-La Salle guard Caracut, 2 others join PBA Rookie Draft

MANILA, Philippines—De La Salle standout Andrei Caracut has submitted his application to join the 2021 PBA Draft along with big men Jun Bonsubre and Tzady Rangel.

Caracut, Bonsubre, and Range submitted their papers to the PBA Office Thursday along with their agent Charlie Dy, as per the league’s official website.

The UAAP Season 78 Rookie of the Year, Caracut was an integral part of the Green Archers team that won the Season 79 title behind then MVP Ben Mbala.

Caracut then joined Alab Pilipinas in the ASEAN Basketball League where he played alongside the 6-foot-7 Rangel.

Bonsubre, meanwhile, played in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League for the Mandaluyong El Tigre before moving to Zamboanga-Family’s Brand Sardines.

So far, a total of 40 aspirants have submitted their names to the PBA Draft that will take place on March 14.

Aspring rookies have until January 27 to submit their applications.
