MANILA, Philippines—Rain or Shine beefed up its frontcourt when it acquired the services of big man Bradwyn Guinto from NorthPort.

In exchange, the Elasto Painters dealt away wings Clint Doliguez and Sidney Onwubere, as per reports.

Already boasting of a deep frontcourt, the Elasto Painters will have to find a way to utilize Guinto along with Beau Belga, Jewel Ponferada, Norbert Torres, and Prince Rivero.

Guinto, who will be on his fourth PBA team, proved to be a serviceable big man for the Batang Pier after he averaged 2.2 points and 1.8 rebounds across nine games.

The duo of Onwubere and Doliguez, meanwhile, already showed they could be steady relievers off the bench for Rain or Shine.

Onwubere averaged 5.8 points and 3.4 rebounds in 12 games for the Elasto Painters while Doliguez, who had just six appearances, put up 4.2 points on 41.7 percent shooting from deep and 1.2 rebounds.

Changing teams will also present a switch of pace for the three players.

Guinto will join a Rain or Shine team that was coming off a quarterfinal finish in the 2020 PBA Philippine Cup while Doliguez and Onwubere would be joining the Batang Pier who won just two games in the past conference.
