MANILA, Philippines — Paul Lee is showing no signs of slowing down and he’s even found extra motivation to keep pushing entering his 11th season in the PBA.

Lee has been documenting his offseason grind on Instagram, where he also revealed one of the reasons why he’s not taking his foot off the gas pedal.

“Naghahanda lang ako. Madaming bata na papasok. Para tumagal pa tayo kuya,” Lee wrote in a reply to fellow PBA veteran LA Tenorio, who praised his offseason work.

(I’m just getting ready. There are a lot of young players coming in. This is to extend my career even further.)

The Magnolia Hotshots star, who turns 32 on Valentine’s Day, is referring to the upcoming batch of rookies this year.

The PBA Rookie Draft, which will feature a record number of aspirants at 97, is deemed by many as one of the deepest in league history.

Lee is coming off another impressive stint after he averaged close to 20 points on a 47-43-87 shooting percentage, 3.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.2 steals in last season’s bubble.
