MANILA, Philippines—It seems that Greg Slaughter’s basketball sabbatical is coming to an end.

In a Twitter exchange with one Carlos AM Katigbak-Sanchez, Cone revealed that the 7-foot center is apparently back with Barangay Ginebra.

“Who will @manilacone pick in this year’s draft? Is greg signed? Will there be impeding trades to further upgrade its roster? Will he trade for Troy Rosario? These are the few questions i have prior to the incoming season defending the All Filipino Cup,” posted Katigbak-Sanchez to which Cone gave a short answer.

“No answers yet, except that Greg is signed,” wrote Cone on Twitter.

Cone did not disclose any additional details regarding the status of Slaughter, who left the Gin Kings in February of 2020 after his contract expired.

Inquirer tried to confirm the development but has yet to receive a reply from the Ginebra franchise.

Slaughter, a four-time champion and the 2017 Governors’ Cup Best Player of the Conference, formally apologized to the Ginebra bosses for his exit in 2020 after he and the club had alleged misunderstandings regarding his contract.
