MANILA, Philippines—Former College of St. Benilde center Clement Leutcheu passed away on Saturday after succumbing to cardiac arrest. He was 25.

Leutcheu, who played in the NCAA from Seasons 92 to 95, was not a dominant presence in the paint for the Blazers but his impact was felt outside of the floor.

Blazers head coach TY Tang paid tribute to him through Instagram.

“What a sad day. We will miss you my friend @cjleutcheu. May your soul rest in peace,” wrote Tang.

Leutcheu posted numbers of 6.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 19 minutes a game for the Blazers in NCAA Season 95 in a campaign that saw the team narrowly miss the Final Four.

The 6-foot-7 center was part of the last batch of foreign student-athletes that competed in the NCAA and were honored during Season 95’s awarding ceremonies.
