Global faces upbeat Pasargad

GLOBAL tries to extend its winning streak to eight matches today when it battles a dangerous Pasargad side today in the United Football League at the University of Makati field.

A victory by Global in the 2 p.m. clash can extend its lead at the top to five points ahead of second-running Loyola Meralco with eight matches remaining in its schedule.

But Global can’t expect any favors especially against a Pasargad side oozing confidence following back-to-back victories, including a 4-3 stunning of the Sparks last Wednesday night.

“The win against Loyola will hopefully give us the momentum in our remaining matches,” said Pasargad coach Joey Villarino.

Stallion and Air Force Phoenix collide in the second match at 4 p.m. that will also be aired live by AKTV on IBC13.
