MANILA, Philippines — Manny Pacquiao could be back in the ring soon.

In fact, the Filipino boxing legend on Wednesday tweeted “training camp has begun.”

Pacquiao has been out since capturing the WBA (Super) welterweight title after beating Keith Thurman in July 2019.

“Training camp has begun. I’m ready to get back in the ring and to further add to my legacy in the sport of boxing,” he wrote.

The 42-year-old Pacquiao also hinted at a huge development although he didn’t offer any further details.

“Big news coming soon. @ParadigmSports @AudieAttar.”

Pacquiao’s camp is currently in talks for a fight against 22-year-old phenom Ryan Garcia.

Pacquiao was recently relegated by the WBA as its “champion in recess,” though, the Games and Amusements Board (GAB), in a letter addressed to WBA president Gilberto Jesus Mendoza, on Tuesday has appealed to the boxing organization to reconsider its decision.
