Rolando Dy takes on Kyrgyzstan foe in BRAVE main event

MANILA, Philippines—Rolando Dy is set for his main event as he takes on Abdisalam Kubanychbek in the headline fight of BRAVE CF 47 on March 11 at Bahrain’s National Stadium.

The Filipino’s bout against Kubanychbek is a lightweight title eliminator for Amin Ayoub’s championship.

Kubanychbek (17-3) has been on a tear since 2018 winning nine straight matches with seven of those victories coming by way of stoppage.

Kyrgyzstan’s knockout machine last defeated Jahongir Saidjamolov and Vagif Askerof via submission and technical knockout, respectively.

Dy (14-9-1), meanwhile, thrust himself into the title picture with two straight wins over John Brewin and Maciej Gierszewski in 2020 and was named the promotion’s Fighter of the year.

BRAVE CF 47 is the first of four events at Kombat Kingdom with the culminating card scheduled forApril 1 in Bahrain.
