WATCH: Anthony Edwards rises for potential dunk of year

It’s still early in the NBA season but Anthony Edwards may have just delivered the dunk of the year.

Edwards, the Minnesota Timberwolves’ rising rookie, took flight from the left baseline and threw down a disrespectful dunk on Toronto Raptors’ Japanese forward Yuta Watanabe late in the third quarter of their game on Saturday (Manila time) in Minnesota.

But as great and vicious as his dunk was, the 6-foot-5 guard won’t be able to say the same as far as his performance against the Raptors went.

The No. 1 overall pick struggled mightily, scoring just seven points on 3-of-14 shooting from the field as the Wolves lost another one, 86-81.

The Timberwolves dropped to an NBA-worst 7-23.
