G League: Ignite back on track, beats Memphis

MANILA, Philippines—G League Ignite got back to winning ways after turning back Memphis, 104-101, in the NBA G League at ESPN Wide World of Sports inside Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida Thursday (Manila time).

Jalen Green played big in the final three minutes, scoring five points in that time frame that gave Ignite a 100-95 lead with 2:29 to play.

The Hustle’s Tyrell Terry trimmed the Ignite’s lead to one, 102-101, with 35 seconds to go but he failed to complete his and-one opportunity missing from his bonus free throw.

Veteran Jarrett Jack then iced the game from the line that pushed the Ignite to a 6-3 record tying Raptors 905, Santa Cruz, and Austin at the tight fourth spot.

Jack led the Ignite’s offense with 22 points while Jonathan Kuminga added 17 points, seven rebounds, five assists, two steals, and two blocks.

Daishen Nix had a near double-double of 11 points and eight rebounds while Brandon Ashley also put up 11 points of his own with Green, Bobby Brown, and Isaiah Todd all scoring 10 points.

Bennie Boatwright had 21 points and eight rebounds for Memphis which dropped to 3-6.
