Taguig, Zele Wellness Center join WNBL
MANILA, Philippines—The Women’s National Basketball League added a couple of more teams with Taguig and Zele Wellness Center joining the fray.
Taguig and Zele’s inclusion now put the total number of teams to seven as the WNBL preps up for its first professional season this 2021.
The first five teams that are competing in the first pro season are the Glutagence Glow Boosters, Parañaque Lady Aces, Pacific Water Queens, Stan Quezon Lady Spartans, and Go For Gold-Philippine Navy.
Article continues after this advertisementTaguig already played in the first WNBL season when the league still had its amatuer status, finishing second behind PSI Lady Air Defenders for two years.
The Lady Generals are now inviting free agents from the draft to send their video clips or highlights to [email protected]. Tryouts will be announced as soon as the Games and Amusements Board gives approval.
Taguig, though, is already eyeing former UAAP MVP March Bacaro for the Lady Generals.
