Curry, Booker lead star-studded field in NBA 3-Point Contest

MANILA, Philippines — Although there won’t be any fans in attendance in the coming NBA All-Star Weekend on Sunday due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the festivities are still expected to be as exciting as before.
The festivities, hosted in Atlanta, this year will all happen in one day with the All-Star Game being the centerpiece while the Skills Challenge and 3-Point Contest will be held before tip-off.

The Slam Dunk Contest, featuring Portland’s Anfernee Simons, Indiana’s Cassius Stanley and New York’s Obi Toppin, will be at halftime.
The dunk contest has always been the most anticipated side event throughout the history of the All-Star Weekend but this year’s 3-Point Contest promises to be an entertaining one with former champions Steph Curry of Golden State and Devin Booker of Phoenix’s bannering the field.

This year’s field is composed of current All-Stars with Boston’s Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum, Chicago’s Zach LaVine and Utah’s Donovan Mitchell.
Curry, widely-regarded as the greatest shooter of all time, won the 2015 edition while Booker ruled the event three year’s later.

Meanwhile, Dallas’ Luka Doncic and Phoenix’s Chris Paul headline the participants for the Skills Challenge, which also has New York’s Julius Randle, Indiana’s Domantas Sabonis, Orlando’s Nikola Vucevic and Portland’s Robert Covington.
