G League: Green, Ignite drop 2nd straight game

MANILA, Philippines—G League Ignite fell to its second straight loss after absorbing a 116-111 defeat to Agua Caliente in the NBA G League Thursday (Manila time) at AdventHealth Arena inside Walt Disney World Resort.

James Palmer Jr. came up big late hitting two straight three-pointers and a pair of free throws in the final four minutes to give the Clippers a 108-102 buffer with 1:29 to play.

Jalen Green made it a two-point game, 110-108, with a three of his own with 54.6 seconds to play but the Clippers made six straight free throws to ice the upset win and improve to a 4-9 record as the Ignite dropped to 7-6.

The loss also booted the Ignite out of the top five as it now sits at the eighth.

Big man Brandon Ashley led the Ignite with 26 points, nine rebounds, and three steals while Green added 20 points, six boards, five assists, and two steals.

Jordan Ford had 22 points, five assists, and four steals for Agua Caliente while Amir Coffey had 21 points and six assists.
