Munzon eager to play for both 5×5 and 3×3 national teams
MANILA, Philippines—Joshua Munzon is set to become, if the predictions do come true, the first overall pick for this year’s PBA Draft but the highly-touted prospect isn’t looking at the league itself.
A veteran of several international tournaments, Munzon said that he’s eager to play for both 5×5 and 3×3 teams if he ever does get called up for Gilas.

Munzon is already a Philippine international, having represented the country in several Fiba 3×3 World Tours as its no.1 3×3 player.
His status as the country’s no.1 3×3 player puts him in the position to once again represent the Philippines in the Olympic Qualifying Tournament along with Alvin Pasaol, Santi Santillan, and Troy Rike.

“I’m definitely going to give everything I have and try to represent the country with as much pride as I can.”
The Philippines is grouped with Slovenia, France, Qatar, and the Dominican Republic in Pool C of the OQT that will be played in Graz, Austria, from May 26 to 30, making Munzon, quite a busy man even before the Draft.
“I’m definitely gonna be busy preparing for both in the upcoming weeks and we’ve been in talks trying to see when we’re going to start practicing for that,” said Munzon. “I’m dedicated to being on the national team and being a contributor.”
