MANILA, Philippines — High flying forward Jamie Malonzo is set to join NorthPort after he was selected second overall in the PBA’s Season 46 Rookie Draft Sunday.

A 6-foot-7 forward, Malonzo is considered a rarity in the Philippine game with a height fit for a big man and a game that is expected to be a handful in the wings.

A top prospect, the De La Salle product was even tabbed to be the No.1 pick, which emerged to be Joshua Munzon who went to Terrafirma.

Malonzo was an instant star in his first and only season with the Green Archers in the UAAP.

A Mythical Team member, Malonzo averaged 15.8 points, 9.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.2 steals with La Salle.

Apart from a stellar UAAP stay, Malonzo also played for Mighty Sports in the 2020 Dubai International Basketball Tournament and Marinerong Pilipino in the D-League.
