PBA: NLEX adds third overall pick Calvin Oftana

MANILA, Philippines—NLEX created a three-headed offensive attack for the coming PBA season after selecting San Beda’s Calvin Oftana with the third overall pick in Sunday’s Rookie Draft.
A potent scorer for the Red Lions in the NCAA, Oftana will join the Road Warriors’ one-two punch of Kiefer Ravena and Kevin Alas.
Article continues after this advertisementThe 6-foot-5 Oftana averaged 15.6 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.2 blocks in Season 95 for the Red Lions.
Despite his height, Oftana never played as a traditional big in the NCAA and was instead given the forward role with San Beda.
