‘Bullang’ stag derby series goes to Pasig

MORE than 100 fights are on tap today as the NFGB Bullang Bullang 8-Bullstag Derby series visits Pasig Square Garden.

Organized by the National Federation of Gamefowl Breeders, the P10-million derby has drawn more than 1,200 entries as of yesterday, according to NFGB president Ricoy Palmares Jr.

Forty-one participants have tallied four wins so far. Those who will score 2, 2.5, 3 and 3.5 points will fight in the finals Thursday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Participants with 4 points will dispute the title on May 5, also at the Big Dome.

Regional finals will also be staged at Aquino Coliseum and Bacolor Cockpit tomorrow, Kaybiga Cockpit and San Jose Cockpit in Batangas on Wednesday and Iloilo Coliseum and Vargas Sports Coliseum on Thursday.
