MANILA, Philippines—South Korea’s Seo Hee Ham has seen nearly everything in her fighting career having fought in several promotions including the UFC and Rizin.

Despite her lengthy career and accomplishments, Seo knows that no two fights are the same and heading into her ONE Championship debut she sees Denice Zamboanga as someone she will have a barnburner with.

Seo, during a virtual press conference, said that there’s a reason why Zamboanga is the no.1 contender in ONE’s atomweight division and she expects their bout in the Atomweight Grand Prix to be everything but easy.

“I know for sure that this won’t be an easy fight, this will be a very hard fight,” said Seo through the help of a translator. “It could be a bloody fight and we’re both gonna get really tired.”

“But I’ll make sure to have fun out there.”

Seo (23-8) is 10 years the elder of the 24-year-old Zamboanga (6-0) and has won titles in Jewels, Road FC, and Rizin.

Though she went 1-3 in her UFC tenure, her lone victory of that stretch was a unanimous decision win over Cortney Casey that earned her a Fight of the Night bonus.

“She’s the no.1 contender and if you see her bouts she did beat all of her opponents and there’s a reason that Denice is the no.1 rank contender. It’s a fact and nothing can change that,” said Seo.
