Lady Stags eye Shakey’s V-League quarterfinals

SAN SEBASTIAN goes for a quarterfinal slot against the debuting University of St. La Salle today in the Shakey’s V-League First Conference at the Filoil-Flying V Arena in San Juan.

Although boasting of league top scorer Jeng Bualee, the Lady Stags remain wary of the Lady Stingers  in the 4 p.m. match after the Bacolod-based USLS squad surprisingly finished third last year.

Southwestern U, another Visayan squad,  kicks off its campaign against Far Eastern University earlier at 2 p.m.

The Lady Stags, bidding to join early quarterfinalists Ateneo and University of Santo Tomas, will go for a third win with Bualee already amassing 53 points in just two outings.
