VisMin Super Cup: Mandaue routs Bohol, ‘power interruption’ halts first game

MANILA, Philippines — A power interruption halted the game between ARQ Builders-Lapu-Lapu City and Siquijor in the 2021 Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas VisMin Super Cup on Wednesday at Civic Center in Alcantara, Cebu, according to the league.

Lapu-Lapu City, which is eyeing its third win in as many stints, took a 27-13 halftime lead when the power went out.

“We had a power interruption here in Alcantara. Though we have a generator, it could not sustain our internet which has forced us to postpone the game,” said Chief Operating Officer Rocky Chan in a press release.

The game, which will be restarted on the final day of the elimination round, had already been stopped once after the power cut off at the midway point of the second period.
