MANILA, Philippines — Former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman suffered a leg injury early in his fight against Uriah Hall in the undercard of UFC 261 Sunday at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida, USA.
Weidman broke his right leg after he threw a leg kick at Hall just seconds into the fight, which was stopped immediately.

Prayers quickly poured in for Weidman, who had to be stretchered off.

The 36-year-old Weidman rose to prominence in 2013 when he dealt Anderson Silva his first loss in the UFC via second round knockout to win the middleweight title.
