MANILA, Philippines — Eight-division champ Sen. Manny Pacquiao on Monday confirmed ongoing negotiations for his next possible boxing match.

“May negotiation na ngayon, so ongoing negotiation,” Pacquiao told reporters in an online interview.

(There are negotiations now, ongoing negotiations.)

The boxing champion-turned-politician, however, did not disclose further details on the possible fight.

The boxing icon also added that the date of the match is among those still being discussed.

Asked if this would be his last fight, the 42-year-old senator said: “Kasama ‘yan sa announcement [That will be included in the announcement]”

He did not name any possible opponents but in March, boxer Mikey Garcia, a four-division champion, disclosed that his camp is “finalizing” details about his fight with Pacquiao slated in May.
