MANILA, Philippines — Thirdy Ravena will run it back with the San-En NeoPhoenix after an injury-hit yet solid first season in the Japan B.League.
The NeoPhoenix on Monday announced that Ravena’s contract “is for multiple years.”
“I just want to thank the Neophoenix Organization for the trust and support they’ve given ever since I got here. It was indeed a tough time for me last season, having to miss a lot of games and not being able to help the team as much as I want,” Ravena said on the team’s website.
“But despite that, it was all love from the NeoPhoenix club and boosters which is why it was not hard for me to make this decision. I’m excited for the next coming years with this club. Go Phoenix!”
The 24-year-old guard averaged a decent 9.1 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists for the NeoPhoenix but he played just a total of 18 games mainly due to injuries.
Ravena, who dealt with a hand and leg injury, also missed the San-en’s first 10 games due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“There are only great expectations for his further growth. We will continue to build a new culture with a team centered on Ravena and strive to become a champion,” said San-en president and CEO Kenjiro Hongo.
The NeoPhoenix finished with a 12-47 record in the 2020-21 season.
“We got unfinished business, @NEO_PHOENIX,” Ravena tweeted.
