MANILA, Philippines—Filipino cue artists Jeff De Luna and Roberto Gomez bowed out of the 2021 World Cup of Pool after losing to Estonia’s Denis Grabe and Mark Magi, 9-4,  in the quarterfinals Friday at Stadium MK in Milton Keyes, England.

Gomez and De Luna were in a pinch early on after Magi and Grabe took a 6-1 lead after seven racks.

Estonia, however, found its stroke and closed out the final two racks.

Grabe and Magi will next face Germany’s Joshua Filler and Christoph Reintjes in the semifinals.

Slovakia’s Jabub Koniar and Jaroslav Polách will face Darren Appleton and Karl Boyes of Great Britain C in the other half of the bracket.
