Four legs in the next five weeks will make up the restart of the Ladies Philippine Golf Tour with Princess Superal and Harmie Constantino fancied to dispute top honors in the P750,000 ICTSI Sherwood Challenge in Trece Martirez in Cavite starting Tuesday.
The two easily stand out in the lean field and Superal will be setting out to get some sort of payback after Constantino won the Eagle Ridge Challenge before the second lockdown put the tour on hold last March.
But even while on a break, the country’s leading pros have made sure to stay in tournament shape, with Superal and Constantino never letting up.
Superal is also hoping to use the next four tournaments to prepare for a more lucrative campaign in Japan later this year.
Former leg winner Chihiro Ikeda is likewise tipped to contend for the crown after missing the last tournament due to injury
After the Sherwood leg, action shifts to Eagle Ridge in Gen. Trias on July 14-16 at the Norman course. INQ
