MANILA, Philippines — Alaska and Blackwater raise the curtain on the much-delayed 46th PBA season which finally unfurls on Friday at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

The opening ceremony is set at 11 a.m. followed by a triple header starting with the game between the Aces and the Bossing at 12:30 p.m.

Rain or Shine and NLEX will also see action at 3 p.m. while Meralco and NorthPort cap off opening day at 6 p.m.

The PBA last played a game in December 2020 when it crowned Barangay Ginebra as Philippine Cup champion in a bubble in Clark, Pampanga.

This time, the league will have a closed-circuit setup for the Philippine Cup where teams, league personnel and the media are encouraged to maintain a venue-home routine to minimize exposure from COVID-19.

Games will be held four times a week. The conference is expected to run until October.
