MANILA, Philippines — Lyceum pulled away late to hack out a 59-47 win over Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) Monday in the 2012 FilOil Flying V Preseason Hanes Cup at the San Juan Arena.

Marksman Cris Cayabyab scored a game-high 18 points despite missing all of his shots from deep.

Both teams struggled from the field. The Pirates shot 32% while the Generals only hit 17 out of 55 attempts for a woeful 31%.

Lyceum, which separated itself from 37-all after three, notched its first win in five games.

No player from EAC hit double-figure scoring. Noube Happi and Russel Yaya had nine points apiece.
